Prosthetic dentistry

Losing one or more teeth, besides any aesthetic issues, is very likely to lead to a series of serious problems, such as difficulties in chewing, cleaning the area, speech and more.

This is why lost teeth should be replaced immediately.

Prosthetic is the branch of dentistry, which deals with these issues and its main subcategories are fixed and removable prosthodontics.

Fxed prosthodontics includes mainly dental crowns, which are tooth-shaped cases that cap or encirlce the false teeth, and dental bridges, which are fixed devices based either on existent teeth that replace lost teeth, or dental implants (implant-supported).

Removable prosthodontics include the application of complete (for all of the teeth) or partial (for some teeth) dentures, which are removable devices constructed to replace missing teeth.
